Terms of service
1. Acceptance
By using TwinMail, the customer organization and authorized operators agree to these Terms of Service. If an organization executes a separate order form or master agreement, that agreement governs in case of conflict for the covered scope.
2. Service description
TwinMail is a local-first email operations platform. It provides people-centric delegation, archive ingest, workflow tooling, and optional cloud-assisted capabilities with explicit per-action consent controls.
3. Account responsibility
Customers are responsible for account credentials, operator permissions, and lawful operation of connected provider accounts. Customers must promptly notify TwinMail of suspected unauthorized access.
4. Subscription and billing
- Free: limited-account entry plan with local-first core workflows.
- Personal / Family: expanded limits and advanced workflow features.
- Lifetime offer: one-time plan where explicitly offered in commercial terms.
Paid plans renew according to the billing cycle unless cancelled before renewal. Billing is processed through authorized payment processors. Taxes and fees are handled according to applicable law and invoice terms.
5. Procurement and invoicing
Enterprise and volume customers may request procurement workflows, purchase order handling, and invoice-based payment terms subject to approval and commercial agreement.
6. Acceptable use
Customers may not use TwinMail to violate law, abuse provider systems, or compromise platform security.
- No phishing, malware distribution, or credential theft workflows.
- No unauthorized access to accounts, infrastructure, or customer data.
- No abuse of APIs, automation, or rate limits.
7. Security and compliance boundaries
TwinMail applies local-first boundaries and hosted service safeguards. Customers remain responsible for configuring organizational policies, retention settings, and provider-side compliance obligations.
8. AI feature terms
Cloud AI features are optional. Use requires explicit operator action and may involve configured third-party providers. Customers are responsible for ensuring payload suitability and internal policy compliance.
9. Intellectual property
TwinMail retains ownership of product software, documentation, and service marks. Customers retain ownership of their operational content and data submitted through their workflows.
10. Availability and support
TwinMail targets reliable service operation but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Support levels depend on plan tier and any applicable commercial support agreement.
11. Warranties and disclaimers
Except as expressly stated in writing, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, implied warranties are disclaimed.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TwinMail is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Aggregate liability is limited to fees paid in the twelve months preceding the claim, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate under these terms. Upon termination, customer access is removed according to offboarding procedures and retention obligations.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Delaware law, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are resolved under applicable dispute procedures, including arbitration provisions where legally enforceable.
15. Updates to terms
TwinMail may update these terms to reflect legal or service changes. Material updates are communicated through product notices or account email before taking effect.
